How we build

We built the wrong system first.

Our method wasn’t designed on a whiteboard. It was forced on us by our own factory floor, and it has held ever since.

The system we got wrong

A year of work, unusable.

The build. We set out to build the complete answer for our own factory. Every process mapped, every module designed, everything connected to everything. Thorough, integrated and, on paper, right.

The verdict. The people who would have to live in it every day turned it down. Not out of stubbornness. The screens were harder than the registers they already trusted, and the plan had gaps that only daily use could have shown us.

The lesson. They were right. A system is right when the person using it every day says so — not when the design document is complete. No amount of planning or review substitutes for contact with real work.

We build systems for a living, and our own system failed on our own floor.

The discipline it produced

What survived that failure is the way we now build everything.

For ourselves first, then for you.

01

One piece goes live first.

We take the smallest piece that changes someone’s working day — one document, one movement, one desk — and build only that. It stands on its own or it doesn’t stand.

02

Each piece easier than paper.

A piece is finished when it is easier than whatever your team does today. Old software, registers, pen and paper included. If someone needs training to prefer it, it isn’t finished.

03

Daily use is the test.

The piece earns its place in real work, with the people it was promised to help. Not the demo. The daily grind.

04

Then the next piece.

Only when the floor has accepted a piece do we build the next one on top of it. Whatever we build, we use ourselves — then we build more.

The furthest we can ever be wrong is one piece. If it doesn’t fit your business, we find out while it is one piece — before it has cost you a system.

The ground decides

We build around the way you already win.

You win because of how you run your business. The way you buy, the way you pay, the way you trust your people — that is strategy, and it is what got you here. Software should never force you out of it.

If your team already keeps a discipline that works — registers kept properly, every movement recorded — it stays. We fit in underneath it and take the drudgery out from under your people’s hands.

You’ll notice there is no process diagram on this page. A diagram would promise a certainty this method doesn’t claim. Every business is different on the ground, and the ground decides.

The first two weeks

What the first two weeks actually look like.

We stand where the work happens. We walk the floor, sit beside the people who do the entries, and trace one process from its first document to its last — the paper trail and the physical trail, both.

Expect questions, not slides. What gets counted twice. What gets counted never. Which register nobody trusts, and where the month actually ends.

By the end of it you have three things: the process we would start with and why, the first piece scoped small enough to prove itself quickly, and a plain statement of what it will change for the people who touch it. If we don’t believe a piece is worth building, we say that instead.

Let's talk

Let's start with one piece.

Show us the part of your business that irritates you most. We’ll make the first piece easier than what your team does today, and prove it in your daily use before we ask you to trust the next.
